Adult Corrective and Medical Exercise

Are you dealing with an injury, or experiencing pain in your body?

As National Academy of Sports Medicine Corrective Exercise Specialists and Registered Kinesiologists, we assess the human movement system for movement impairments, postural dysfunction and muscle imbalances to determine possible mechanical contributions to your pain or chronic injury.

Common injuries/conditions we treat include: whiplash; shoulder impingement, rotator cuff, shoulder dislocation, frozen shoulder; stenosis, DGD, disc herniation, back strain, piriformis syndrome; spondylolesthesis, ankylosing spondylitis; sciatic nerve pain, hamstring/ groin/ quad strains; IT band syndrome, patella femoral syndrome, meniscus; ankle sprains; osteoarthritis.

Total Hip and Knee Replacement

We work with clients both pre and post shoulder, hip, and knee replacement surgeries. Doing the prehab before the surgery, will accelerate your rehab and recovery post surgery. Our active therapy approach works to restore neuromuscular activation, alignment, stability, strength, healthy joint mechanics, and function. Book your initial corrective exercise assessment and history to get started with us.

Other common medical conditions we work with: Diabetes, Hypertension, CVA, MS, Parkinson’s, Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis, GBS, and Osteoporosis.

Youth Corrective Exercise

Youth Corrective Exercise - We understand the importance of getting kids moving safely, and setting them up for success as they continue to grow. Chronic pain can occur in the youth population if they are active in sports, and if they are lifting heavy weights while lacking deep strength, muscle balance and alignment.

Based on our assessment, we identify the overactive and underactive muscles in the body and set out to restore these imbalances. When the deep stabilizer muscles lack strength, the prime mover muscles tend to take on the stabilizing role, which creates excessive tension and pain in the body. Our active rehab programs set out to restore these imbalances and eliminate pain. We offer adolescent active rehab programs for kids 12-18 years old.

New referrals please email kerri@activerehabrx.com to set up booking the initial assessment.
